Tearless Sands

The theory goes; that deserts were once water-filled lands with lush grass and greenery.                      Well, i'd compare myself to a Desert. A desert that was once green and overflowed with water.  .  .but now, all that remains is sand.My cheeks; caramel-brown and made from Adams dust. Memories now remain of centuries ago when waters could flow down these cheeks. . .Dunes & Desert storms now remain. . .where once there was water, now all that remains is Dust.                                                Dust to dust, and tears to rain. . . Rain dancers gather in Ritual Ceremony awaiting a miracle that once was reality. To God they scream "Why has thou forsaken us?" . . .
